I am currently undertaking doctoral studies at Toioho Ki Apiti, Massey University.  My research is aimed at developing an indigenised approach to apparel construction, based on elements of Māori visual language that enhance the role of kaikaranga, challenging colonial ideas about beauty and clothing.
